Livestock Gob
David Thornhill of Boston and Randall Updike of Washington organized the new 4-H Livestock Club. With emphasis on hogs and sheep, twelve 4-Her’s learned how to raise and feed their animals.
The following members showed their animals at the Farm Show in Culpeper: Ike Leggett, Ron Dougherty, Don Dougherty, Deidre Coombs, Irvin Starks, Joyce Starks, Jane Kidwell, Terry Jordan, Amanda Magee, Charlotte Magee, Mitchell Burke and Kim Helmer. Ribbon winners were Mitchell Burke, Ike Leggett and Irvin Starks.
Chester Gap 4-H Club
This club has been in existence longer than any 4-H Club in Rappahannock. With thirteen members, it is also the largest.
