James Jenkins added to the list of complaints on the south side of Route 621, charging that promised improvements hadn’t been completed.
Askew reported that crews had ditched Route 621 and laid pipe this year in preparation for improving it to an all-weather road. He said plans call for several grading projects. “We don’t have the money yet but we’re proposing it.” Askew said, adding that improvements to Rt. 621 would receive high priority in the updated sixyear plan.
Muth pointed out that the narrowness of the road and limited sight distance on hills presented a danger to school buses carrying children over Route 621. “I have a note to tell myself not to come out on (he road at certain times in the morning and afternoon,” he said.
