The snow • that balnketed the county on October 10 closed schools for' three days and caused the most widespread damage ever suffered by utility companies serving Rappahannock.
Jim Poffenburger from Potomac Edison reported that all 2,405 customers served by the power company in Rappahannock were without electricity from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Wednesday. “We lost our transmission into Rappahannock County,” ' he acknowledged.
