Buntin: “I’m still in good health and police work has been my chief occupation for all these years. I feel I’m qualified for the job and I want to' have something to do.”
—If re-elected, will you finish out a four-year term?
Buntin: ‘‘There’s no question about' that. I put full-time on'the job for'the last four years and if I’m reelected, I’ll put in full-time for the next complete term."
—What do you see as'the biggest crime problem in Rappahannock County?
Buntin: ‘‘Breaking and entering and larcenies. In particular, breaking and entering in unattended residences in secluded places, like week-end vacation homes.”
—What are your qualifications for sheriff?
Buntin: “I had 29 years as a state police officer in Rappahannock County and three and a' half years as sheriff. My experience and training as a state police officer, in particular, prepared me for the job.” —What type of training do state policemen receive?
