Jenkins: ‘‘Personally, I think county cars would be nice but I would certainly want to investigate a little further to see what’s cheaper—paying mileage or buying cars.
“When I was sheriff before, I never pushed for county cars because I thought ’the county was getting a cheaper rate for partolling by paying mileage. Certainly, I’d have to investigate further.
“However, if we continue fo use private vehicles, they should be vehicles that pertain to the job and they certainly should be marked as such.”
