CRIME "I favor a state policy calculated to cause speedy trials with certain and stern punishment for the guilty. Sentencing of criminals should serve not only as punishment but also as a deterrent. Law abiding citizens should feel free to travel our streets and highways without fear of criminal attack." GUN CONTROL "I oppose all laws leading to restrictions on the rights of citizens to bear arms. All that gun control will do is put the weapons in the hands of the criminals rather -than honest citizens." ' . INFLATION "Inflation, at its present rate, is one of the cruelest forms of taxation. It causes tremendous hardships on all citizens, but especially to those 1 on a fixed income and those with low incomes. State government must act whenever and wherever possible to help lighten this ever growing burden." BIG GOVERNMENT "Individual freedom is one of our most cherished rights. The continued unchecked growth of state government has not only created more rules and regulations, which limit our freedom, but it has resulted in a tremendous expense, which the taxpayers must bear."
