Last Wednesday’s snow storm will go down in Rappahannock history as one of'the most damaging and certainly 'the most unexpected. The following impressions of the storm written by ‘ third graders in Diane Wood’s class at Rappahannock Elementary School offer a unique perspective on of 'the devastation.

"When I was in bed, I thought I heard rifles but I had' heard trees falling. When I got out of bed both my brothers were up and we asked if we could go outside but our mom said we couldn’t because the trees were falling. When we got to go out, we had a snowball fight. When I went down to our shop, I saw my cat jumping over snow so I put him in' the snow. When I put him in,'he got pretty mad so I took him out and' that’s' the end.
