—What made you decide to run for sheriff?
Corbin: “Well, 1 had it in mind for eight or ten years. 1 just wasn't in a position to announce my candidacy. I always wanted to be a lawman but 1 never actually made up my mind."
—What do you consider to be' the biggest crime problem in Rappahannock County?
Corbin: “Drugs."
—What do you mean by drugs?
Corbin: "Marijuana. It’s a little more easier to obtain than other drugs. They can raise it anywhere they want. It's everywhere you go. Not just in Rappahannock. It's nationwide. It's even in the elementary school—not just the high school."
—How would you combat drug traffic if elected?
Corbin: “I would get out and scour the county. I would get all the information I could and if 1 got the goods on them. I'd make the arrest." —During recent work to update the School drug policy, the School board has expressed concern over the growing problem in the Schools. How would you attack the problem? Corbin: "I would visit the Schools and try to find out all that I could—if anyone was actually using drugs. Of course, you’ve got to actiiallv catch them with it before you can make an arrest. I'm sure the principal and the teachers could give you some help. I’m sure they have some ideas on who's on and who’s not."
