Dear PE Customer,
Last week brought us one of the most devastating storms in Potomac Edison's history.
During this crisis, you, our customers were both understanding and cooperative as PE fought around the clock to restore power. Many of you were kind enough to provide coffee and refreshments to our line crews.
Restoring power was a mammoth job and in addition to 57 of our own employees, we brought in 200 emergency workers from as far away as Martinsburg and Romney, West Virginia. These included other PE crews plus crewmen from Asplundh Tree Trimmers and Wright Construction Company. A special helicopter line patrol was also brought into service.
Please accept our sincere thanks and appreciation for your patience and understanding throughout the emergency. Also a special word of thanks to our own employees who worked so tirelessly and to local police and fire departments who provided their valuable assistance.
