Armentrout made a last second basket to send RCHS to the locker room leading 22-19 at half time.
The Panthers played excellent ball in the third quarter, particularly in passing. Mike Leake scored in the early seconds to put Rappahannock ahead 24-19. Well thrown passes from Mike Leake and Greg Bright to Gary Leake widened the margin even more.
The Panther defense permitted the Ealges only one shot each time down the court for much of the quarter. By the end of the period, Rappahannock led 42-28. ,
RCHS dominated the offensive flow in the fourth quarter, scoring 24 points. The Panthers started their scoring drive only seven seconds into the quarter when Gary Leake connected on another Greg Bright pass.
The Panthers’ almost perfect performance at the foul line increased the margin to a 66-45 win.
Gary Leake paced the Panthers with 27 points and eight rebounds.
