Mr. and Mrs. James Swindler and Bobette joined Jimmy and Natalie Swindler in Charlottesville Sunday for a birthday dinner for Bobette.

The Flint Hill Rescue Squad transported Nancy Menefee from the Aileen plant January 30, to Warren Memorial. On January 31, Jack Rinker was taken from Rt. 659 near Flint Hill to Warren Memorial and February 2, Ricky Thompson and Billy Thompson, both of Stanley, were taken from an auto accident on Rt. 211 and 729 to Fauquier Hospital.
The Flint Hill Volunteer Fire Department was called to the home of Steve Sealock on Rt. 677 January 30 for a chimney fire. February 2, they assisted Amissville and Castleton at the home of Virginia Cloud on Rt. 640 and assisted the Washington Department February 3 with a roadside fire on Rt. 211.
The Sperryville Rescue Squad transported Susan Jenkins of Washington from an auto accident on Rt. 211 west of Sperryville to Culpeper Memorial February 2.
On Wednesday. January 30, the Washington Volunteer Fire Department answered a call to a structural fire at the Sealock residence on Route 677.
The unit responded to a field fire at Rayner V. Snead’s farm in Washington on Sunday. February 3.
