The Area Agency of Aging’s meals program in Rappahannock sponsored a parent-child banquet for senior citizens at Hampton Inn last weekend.
Borrowing a theme from parent-child affairs held by the Boy Scouts but with the roles reversed, parents invited their children to come kmi see where they meet th'eir friends and have lunch three days a week. According to site supervisor Faye Crescenti, 73 persons attended the baked chicken dinner, prepared by Hampton Inn proprietor Millie Cebula.
DAR Meeting
The Culpeper Minute Men Chapter, National Society, Daughters of the American Revolution, will meet on Tuesday, May 13, in the Fellowship Hall of the Culpeper Presbyterian Church at 2 p.m. The bus trip previously planned for this date has been cancelled.
Mrs. John S. Kearns will present a conservation program on "Endangered Species" that has been rescheduled from an earlier meeting. Election of officers and a report on Continental Congress are also on the agenda.

Mr. and Mrs. Jens U. Tholand of Sperryville are the parents of a daughter, Stephanie Anne Marie, born April IS, 1980 at Fauquier Hospital, Warrenton. Grandparents of the infant are Mrs. N.K.G. Tholand of Sperryville and the late Mr. Tholand and Mrs. J. E. Pennypacker of Winchester and the late Mr. Pennypacker.
