In the large pony division Dawn Dugan had Stormy Weather off to a fast start, opening up eight lengths immediately, to win by a length over the rapidly closing Lil’ Bit, ridden by Amy Ruff. Third was Charles Graham on his Red Raven.
James Lawrence vindicated himself by winning the small pony section on his Lil Fritz, passing the leader Thunder, ridden by Ann Gold, who was second by three lengths. Robert Rapp’s Joy was third, followed by Kelly Smithgall on Velvet. All junior competitors were given trophies.
