Dorothy B. Hawkins is the senior member of the council, having served for 28 years, eight of them as clerk. A native of Washington, she was born and raised in the town where she has worked as postal clerk for 14 years. "I have a sincere interest in the town,” she said. ‘‘I’ve enjoyed serving on the council. I feel my time there has been productive. I particularly enjoy working on town improvement projects, seeing projects through to completion.”
