Gratified
To the editor:
I would like to thank Mr. Don Bomberger and his wife, Judy, for providing a golden opportunity for my son and all the other students who participated in the “Hello, Dolly” production.
The long hours of practice and exhiliration of a successful performance provided a chance for these students to develop some personal pride and motivation. Who knows—some student may have discovered his life’s worth and ambition.
Equal thanks are extended Mrs. Lilo Foster for teaching those boys they didn’t have two left feet. The support from other faculty members is commendable.
Citizens of Rappahannock County are blessed to have these individuals.
A Thankful Parent
Commended
To the editor:
I want to commend the Rappahannock News for the fine article in last week’s edition about Pat Helmer.
As the mother of one of the girls who became a first class scout, I know that my daughter would have given up Girl Scouts long ago if it hadn’t been for the interest and encouragement of Mrs. Helmer. I’m sure the parents of the other girls share my appreciation for the many hours Pat has given to our children.
Too often the leader of a troop goes without recognition for the great amount of time and energy she spends on behalf of her scouts. I’m very happy that this paper has given its readers some background information about Pat Helmer. Her efforts on behalf of scouting have made a lasting impact on many girls in this county.
