In other school budget items covered briefly on Friday, the school board indicated that $8,000 in the proposed budget for installation of underground gasoline storage tanks could be cut since, according to Walter Masterson, there is no longer arv advantage to bulk purchasing.
At the request of the school board, the supervisors voted unanimous approval for the teacher salary scale which re fleet's a 12 per cent increase over the current year. Early approval of the salary scale is intended as an aid in recruitment of new teachers.
