The varsity Rappahannock Panthers put a win under their belts as they ran over the William Monroe Dragons last week, 9-6.
The game was highlighted by continuous hitting from the first inning to the last.
The Dragons had visitors’ honors of first at bat and drove in two runs. The Panthers also drew blood in the first with a single by Doug Nichols. Gary Leake followed it up with a single of his own and when the center fielder made an error, advanced to second with Nichols going to third. Jeff Jenkins hit the single necessary to drive Nichols and Leake home, tieing the score at 2-2 at the end of the opening inning.
