Gas from a 1,000 gallon tank of propane that must be refilled once a month flows in through tubing which leads to a mixer—“All made out of Co-op parts.” In the mixer, the propane is combined with air and blasted into the furnace through a ceramic burner head invented by a glass blower. “He probably makes twice as much from that head as he does from blowing glass,” Eric joked.
