Eastham stated he would rail the accountant the next lay to find out why the nformation hadn’t been sent ;o the superintendent. He nsisted that Nicholas has already finished compiling his data. “He’s already given as a report. 1 have a copy,” Eastham claimed. “Mr. Eastham, you will not make a phone call unless this board gives you a directive,” interjected Beverly Massie.
Eastham stated he would call, that he had the right to call anyone at any time for information without permission from the board.
"Then you’re acting as an individual and not in the name of this board," the chairman cautioned.
The subsequent vote on Eastham’s motion for a report at the December meeting on implementing the complete audit was recorded as unanimous by the board’s clerk.
SOQ Report
Presenting an assessment on how well Rappahannock schools did in meeting the state mandated Standards of Quality, assistant superintendent Rob McDaniel reported that “in, some, we met our goal, some we made a stab at and weren't successful and some we haven’t even addressed.’’ He added that the state requires a report on SOQ objectives to the board and to the public.
