Giles Miller. Jr. of Culpeper, executor of the estate, reported in court on Thursday that inventory showed Mrs. Wood’s assets as SI.549,089 and Mr. Wood’s as $149,042. In addition, he said. Mrs. Wood owned 10.49 acres at Fletcher’s Mill with a large main house, guest cottage, garage and five smaller outbuildings.
Noting that there has been no appraisal on the property, he guessed the figure at $60,000. According to Miller, he encountered problems with Rappahannock’s tax assessment procedures and found county figures on the worth of the property ”no
