Eugene Wood’s body whs found a half mile downstream from Fletcher’s Mill on the morning of August 29, lying 25 feet from the receded stream and covered with four feet of debris. Virginia Wood’s body was located shortly afterwards 75 yards further downstream from her husband. According to the death certificate, both died at 8 p.m. on August 28 b#y drowning.
