state Youth Exchange banner to the Rappahannock Lions club for its outstanding support of the program over the past five years. Rappahannock has sent five students abroad, and local families have hosted at least one foreign student each year. The banner was accepted by club president Bob Ingle. No other club in the Northern Virginia district has received the Youth Exchange banner.
Immediate past president John Schultz acknowledged receipt of the coveted State Achievement Award, at the Lions fall conference held recently in Fredericksburg. Schultz observed that while soifie of the larger metropolitan clubs were recognized at the conference for donations of SI,000 or more to certain specific Lions’ charities, Rappahannock was singled out for the fourth consecutive year for its overall excellence in both charitable and administrative operations.
