Virginia’s gasoline consumption dropped 6.4 per cent in September this year, compared to the same month last year, and again brought the state under the federal consumption target.
“The trend towards smaller, more fuel efficient cars and the price of gasoline are likely to be the significant factors for the driving public now,” said George L. Jones, Office of Emergency and Energy Services.
