He holds a U. S. Patent, and invented several mechanical devices. His memberships included the Antique Automobile Club of America, Four and Six Cylinder Plymouth Club and 70th Infantry Division Association.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Grace L. Sims of Sperryville; two daughters, Mrs. Charles T. Sands IV, of Lander, Wy. and Mrs. William B. Hill II, of Boulder, Col.; one son, George L. Sims of Oakton; his mother, Mrs. Norman Sims of Silver Spring, Md.; one sister. Miss Barbara H. Sims of Silver Spring; one brother, Robert T. Sims of Charleston, W. Va. and two grandchildren.
Pomfrey
Amanda Gregory Pomfrey died Saturday November 22, at the Virginia Baptist Home. She was 85.
Born on December 20, 1894 in James City, Co., she was the daughter of the late Thomas Drummond and Amanda Warbarton Harris. She was preceded in death by her husband Simon A. Pomfrey.
She is survived by four step-children, two nieces and two nephews.
