We, the following staff members, would like to express our appreciation of Dr. William ). Bloomer's contribution to the Rappahannock School system.
He has offered consistent support in solving the many problems we have faced in trying to provide quality education for the county's young people. His humor and kindness have set a positive tone in the schools. The rapport he has established with school personnel has reduced the stress created by the complexity of our work and by our limited resources. He has contributed his time and ideas to the extra-curricular activities which provide a richness of experience our young people need and deserve. His accessibility has affected the attitudes held by the administrators of the high school and elementary school. The staff has felt free in taking its concerns to the administration on all levels.
Dr. Bloomer's knowledge of Virginia's standards of quality for education and his personal concern for the staff and students are important for effectively carrying out the job of superintendent. We applaud the service he has rendered Rappahannock County.
