Assistant superintendent Rob McDaniel will formally submit his resignation to the Rappahannock County School Board at its next regular meeting.
Last Wednesday morning, McDaniel was officially appointed superintendent of schools for Cumberland County, a rural jurisdiction in Southwestern Virginia that, like Rappahannock, has only two facilities, an elementary and a high scool.
