The Rev. Gene Petty of Louisa has accepted a call to the Rock Villa Mission Fellowship at Sperryville as interim pastor and assumed his duties the first of March. A graduate of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Ky., Rev. Petty has served churches in Miami, Fla. and central Virginia.
Prior to entering the ministry, Petty, age 60, spent twenty-five years in business management and ownership. He has been involved in world missions and has directed tours to the Holy Land, Europe and Middle East.
