An art* and dramatic renaissance is waiting in the wings for Rappahannock residents, as Mountain Magic Cmema & Theater prepares to unveil its newly renovated stage the weekend of March 13-15.
The newly constructed and widened permanent stage will become home to the Rappahannock Players, who in addition to their,annual spring and fall dramatic productions, plan to offer a number of shorter stage works to theater fans in 1961, and to create drama apprenticeship programs for high school students.
“Refugee”, an awardwinning original one-act play will lead off this series on March 15. Proceeds will benefit the Players stage fund, and the play is especially aimed at high schoolers, present members of the Rappahannock Players, and all those who enjoy theater and may wish to get involved in upcoming productions.
