A few years ago a researcher received a Nobel prize for his work on warts To many that may have seemed like an unimportant subject, but his work might prove to be a first step in the cure of some cancers He proved that warts are benign tumors that are caused by a virus Since they are caused by a virus, he showed why there is sometimes little that can be done about these stubborn invaders Some respond very quickly to treatment, others do not There are several methods used to treat warts, but all do not work perfectly We do know that the smaller the area involved, the easier they are to treat Warts seldom ever "just go away " The virus usually spreads and the area may become very uncomfortable
As with the "common cold”, there is no "cure", but there are several modes of treatment
