GED Testing
The General Educational Development (GED Test) for those persons who were once enrolled in school but who did not complete graduation requirements, will be given on Saturday, March 14, at 9:00 a.m. at Warren County High School, Luray Avenue, Front Royal. If the number of applications is too large, some will be scheduled for testing one week later.
The battery of five tests in English Composition, Social Studies, Natural Science, Literature and Mathematics are designed to measure the major skills that result from four-year high school curriculum.
By achieveing satisfactory scores on GED tests adults may earn a high school equivalency certificate; qualify for admission to eonegt or advanced educational opportunities; meet educational requirements for employment or promotion; satisfy educational qualifications for induction in the United States Armed Forces.
Certificates may be issued civilian or military personnel meeting these requirements: at least 18 years old (under certain justifiable circumstances, the age limit may be lowered); have been a physical resident of Virginia thirty days prior to applying for testing; and may apply at their local county school superintendent's office.
Applications will be accepted until March 10 and a fee of S10 is charged for the battery of tests with re-tests S2 each. Social Security cards or other means of identification is needed when application is made.

A drama, "The Old Ship of Zion”, will be presented at the Macedonia Baptist Church in Flint Hill on Saturday, March 14 at 6 p.m. by the Ways and Means Club.
