—Ann Tupper. 3rd in 440 yard run with a time of 71.3 seconds, —Ann Oliver, second in the 880 yard run with 2:52 followed by Kelly Bristol in 3rd with 3:00.2, —Rhonda Jenkins. 3rd in the two mile run with 10:29.9.
Eugene Grigsby set a new school record for the 200 yard dash, finishing first in 23.1 seconds and bettering the 23.5 mark set by Festus Clanagan in 1975. Grigsby also won the 100 yard dash in 10.6 seconds.
Tim Williams swept the throwing events for the Panthers, hitting 42'8" in the shot put and 117’9" with the discus.
Doyle Dunn, competing despite an injury he sustained in practice the previous week, look second in the high jump, going over at 5'8". His leap was as high as the mark reached by the winner but Dunn placed second because he missed his first attempt at the bar. Carl Frye was third with a jump of 5'6" in his debut at track competition.
Scott Keithley finished second in the mile run with a time of 4:48.5, just a little behind the 4:42.2 clocked by Stonewall's state champion in cross country. In the two mile run. Keithley was third with 10:46.8 finish.

—Gary Foster. 2nd in high hurdles with a time of 19.2 seconds and Jimmy Freeman in 3rd with 19.3,
—Robert Starks, 2nd in the 440 yard run, with 60.7 seconds, and David Dodson. 3rd with 61.7 (winning time was 60.3).
—John Shanahan, 2nd in 330 yard intermediate hurdles in 50 seconds, and Freeman. 3rd with 51 seconds.
—Larry Sisk. 3rd in the 880 vard run in 2:18.9.
