Mt. Lebanon

Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church will hold Easter sunrise services at 5:30 a.m. on Burke's Hill, on Rt. 522, just north of Boston. The sun will rise behind a large wooden cross specially erected on the site. Worshippers will then adjourn to the church, on Rt. 522 at Scrabble, for donuts, coffee, and orange jucice.

At the 11 a.m. worship service, the Mt. Lebanon church choir will perform John Peterson’s “Hallelujah, What a Savior,” a cantata of familiar Easter music and narration. The public is invited.

Methodist Services

Services this week for the Rappahannock United Methodist Churches with the Rev. Peter Weems, pastor, include an April 8 Tennebrae Thursday service at Willis Chapel, Huntly, 7:30 p.m.; Friday, April 9, Good Friday service at Sperryville United Methodist Church, 7:30 p.m.

Easter Sunday Sunrise service at Flint Hill United Methodist Church, 6 a.m. Breakfast follows at the fire hall immediately after the service.

Services at Willis Chapel Easter Sunday 10 a.m. and at Sperryville United Methodist Qiurch 11:15 with the Rev. Weems.

There will be an Easter egg hunt at Hint Hill United Methodist Church on Saturday, April 10, beginning at 10:30. An egg hunt will also be held on the Sperryville church lawn April 10, at 2:30 p.m.

The public is invited.

Sunrise Service

Sunrise services will be conducted at Hopewell Baptist Church, Sperryville, on Easter Sunday, Aprii 11 at 6:30 a.m. Breakfast will be served from 8 until 9:30. Sunday School will begin at 10 a.m. followed by worship services at 11:30. The public is invited.
