The wind was so fierce that it just pulled trees with shallow root systems right out of the wet ground. We’d get one line repaired, turn around and go somewhere else to fix a line and then have to go back to the first neighborhood for more repairs. It was bothersome rather than a big serious problem,” he said, noting that power was restored to all REC customers by 10 p.m. on Sunday.
