The mile relay team of Ann Oliver, Kelly Bristol, Susan Sisk and Ann Tupper also grabbed a first place ribbon with a time of 4:51.49. Tupper was second in the 440 run as well while Oliver and Bristol finished second and third in the 880.

Cristol Porter turned in her personal best in the high jump, clearing 4'H” for first. She brought home another blue for Rappahannock in the 220 run with a time of 28.5 seconds.

Kim Williams coasted to victory in the low hurdles in 17.26 seconds. Gheen and Kathryn Davis were right on each others heels in the 100 meter dash, finishing one, two in 13.3 and 13.7 seconds.

In the discus, Marie Davis managed a first place throw. Rhonda Jenkins also added points to the Panther tally with a second in the two mile run.

Boys Lose

The boys track contingent didn't fare as well against Brentsville, losing 86-45. Eugene Grigsby and Scott Keithley had the only individual first place finishes for the Panthers. Grigsby . took first in the 220 run (23.5 seconds) and in the 100 meter dash (11.4 seconds). Keithley led a Rappahannock foursome to a sweep in the two mile run, his first place followed by Ronnie Atkins' second, Elwood Dodson’s third and Ricky Shaw's fourth.

Rappahannock’s mile relay team of Chris Caperton, Larry Sisk, Robert Starks and David Dodson broke the tape in the mile relay in 3:55.72.
