One runner striding over the Fodderstack course from Flint Hill to Washington this Saturday will be running not just for herself but for a long list of older friends.
Faye Crescenti, site supervisor for the senior citizen nutrition program at Washington's Trinity Church, will be running to raise money for recreational activities for the seniors. The funds pledged by sponsors, either individuals or businesses, will pay transportation costs for picnics to Skyline Drive, fishing trips to nearby lakes and ponds and tours of formal rose gardens in the Northern Virginia area.
