To the editor:
As a former student of Rappahannock County High School (class of 1979), I feel the need to speak out on the possible non-renewal of Mr. Wingfield's contract for next year.
It is my opinion that nonrenewal would be a waste of a talented and knowledgeable principal. Mr. Wingfield has a greal deal of understanding for the students and their needs. That understanding is a part of his administration in the high school.
I base this opinion on my experience with Mr. Wingfield as class president. We often worked together planning projects to raise funds for the class and organizing the prom and later the senior trip. Throughout the time we worked together, the class had his support and his concern.
It would have been so easy for him to sign his name to approve a project and leave it at that, but that was never the case. We discussed projects thoroughly, and he
