The RAA Panthers will participate in the Skyline Babe Ruth League along with four teams from Madison County and three teams from Greene County. This year’s team of 13 to 15 year olds will be coached by Gary Leake with assistance from Larry Brown and Roy Jenkins.
Chosen on the basis of two days of try-outs, the 15-man roster includes Mike Atkins, Jeff Porter, Jim Williams, Craig Williams, Chucky Jenkins, Henry B. Wood, Rob Brown, Tony Williams, Jeff Burke, Reggie Williams, Wayne Woodward, Chip Russell, Greg Smith, Tommy Jenkins and Mike Nester. Named as reserve players were Mark Brown, Bobby Huff and Wayne Foster.

Registration is now open for a slow pitch softball tournament to be held April 24 and 25 near Marshall. The bracketed round robin competition with four games guaranteed is ASA sanctioned and will benefit Marshall’s youth baseball program.
