James Swindler suggested that the audience and the board move to the auditorium rather than crowd people into the library on chairs, tables, heat registers and the floor with more left standing out of earshot in the hall.

His request was denied, chairman Beverly Massie suggesting instead that more chairs be brought into the already packed library.

George Stevenson had the Final comment from the audience and his suggestion met with a round of loud applause. If the board refuses to reverse its decision on Wingfield’s ouster in the face of public support for the principal, ‘‘our next step should be to seek an elected school board instead of having political appointees," he proposed.
