group of singers involved with a British theme production for St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in the spring of 1%7. Several present members of the 30 voice chorus have belonged since its inception, and some come from as far as 50 miles away.

Rehearsing at the Culpeper Presbyterian Church, the chorus was first directed by Jeanne Sandidge, now of Richmond. Other directors have included Trevor Rea of Warrenton; Marian Meredith, formerly of Culpeper; Richard Huffman, deceased; Roger Bailey of Fredericksburg; Robert Hawkins now of Richmond; Bobbye Davies of Woodberry Forest and Judith Gary of Charlottesville.

Major works of the highest caliber have been performed, including 16th century madrigals, sacred and secular classics of a rich heritage, as well as familiar folk songs, spirituals, and tunes from musical comedy.

The free concert is open to the public. For further information, call 825-1463.
