As the regular season and tournament winners, Rappahannock and Strasburg both advance to regional competition. On Wednesday, the Panthers take on the William Monroe Dragons at RCHS. The two teams have met twice previously this season and each came away with a victory. “The battle hast just begun. We will be prepared for war,” said coach Dawson, a William Monroe graduate and former coach there. “This is the rubber game of the series. Each team has won one knd it’s a do-or-die situation. Only the best team gets to continue playing,” he said. “I don’t think Monroe can beat us twice on our home floor,” the coach concluded, predicting a win for his Panthers.
