Do' you still own the land in fee simple? The answer is yes, although you do give up some of your rights by allowing the other person to lease the land and pay you rent for those five years.
So keep that phrase “fee simple” in mind, because if you’re in that position, you can consider yourself very fortunate. One of our greatest satisfactions as Realtors is starting people on the way to fee simple ownership.
