The Amissville Ruritan Club held its monthly meeting on Wednesday, February 16, at the Amissville Baptist Church. Guest speaker Mrs. Merle Scoggins, commissioner of revenue for Rappahannock County, explained the latest tax changes to the Ruritans. Deferals, extensions, deductions and other information useful in preparing a tax return for 1982 was thoroughly covered.
The club elected to donate $25 to the county’s Heart Fund and $100 to the seventh graders at Rappahannock Elementary School for their annual class trip to Williamsburg.
