The Chester Gap Fire Department and Chester Gap Ladies Auxiliary will sponsor a pancake day at the fire department on March 12 from 7:00 to 12:00.
Furnished for the $3.00 fee will be pancakes (all you can eat), sausage, coffee and milk.
Antique Quilts Shown
The Charlottesville - Albemarle Unit of the American Cancer Society will sponsor its fifth annual quilt show and sale at the Boar’s Head Inn, Route 260 West, Charlottesville, on March 4, 5 and 6.
An unusual assortment of quilts on loan from private collections will be displayed. In addition, antique and new quilts as well as country antiques from Nutmeg Crossing will be offered for sale. Admission to the show, which will be open 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Sunday, is $2. For further information, call (804) 293-3010.
Musical Play For Kids
Shenandoah College and Conservatory of Music in Winchester will present its spring children’s theatre production, Don’t Count Your Chickens Until They Cry Wolf, on March 5, 6, 12 and 13 at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturdays and at 3 p.m. on Sundays.
, Directed by Linde’ Hayen Herman and billed as “a musical play for children of all ages and adults as young in heart as possible,” the play is based on Aesop’s fables.
