Impatience was the Panthers’ biggest enemy. With forced shots resulting in critical turn-overs, they trailed at the end of the third quarter. But a buzzer shot gave them a lift that almost carried to a win.

The junior Panthers played their hearts out in the fourth. They applied the press with a zeal rarely seen in JV games. They pushed themselves to the limit and looked like they had victory within their grasp. But they just couldn’t get any breaks and Clarke held on, 43-38, until time ran out.

Tommy Jenkins led the. Panthers with 12 points and 15 rebounds, followed by Rob Brown with ten points and six carooms. Deryk Moore was a triple seven with seven points, seven rebounds and seven steals.
