Entries are on the increase in the Seven Comers series, now that Randy Rouse has announced his withdrawal in favor of attracting some new blood, making the series more competitive. Eight entries have been accepted for Saturday’s feature race, the Ben Venue, and it could be anybody's guess as to who will emerge the new leader.

Another interesting contest will be the third race, the Mount Salem, two miles over timber for ladies. Last week’s winner Patti Cassel will be entering her Splashy Lea, while Susan Sutula, who didn’t even try to catch the leader at Casanova, holding her Too Far Gone to a nice easy gallop, well back in the field, will be aboard her alternate mount, Banacheck II.
