Film Showing
Two films entitled “Home Run for Rusty” and “Troubled Waters” will be shown at the Amissville United Methodist Church at 7:80 p.m. on Saturday, March 5. According to a church spokeswoman, these films are especially designed for young people.
Preceding the film showing, there will be a covered dish dinner at 6:30 p.m. The public is invited. <
Ladies To Meet
The Sperryville Ladies Auxiliary will meet at the fire hall on Monday, March 7 at 7 p.m.
According to Marie Atkins, president of the auxiliary, plans for the upcoming dinner on April 16 will be finalized. All members are urged to attend.
Historical Society
Meeting
The Rappahannock Historical Society will take on the appearance of an old timey general store on Friday evening, March 4, as local residents gather round an imaginery cracker barrel and swap yams about the “good ole days” in the county.
The Historical Society meeting will begin promptly at 7:30 p.m. this Friday evening. Members and guests will spend the next hour or so exchanging tales of Rappahannock — personal experiences, anecdotes handed down from generation to generation, legends, or just “stories.”
The public is welcome. Come and be a part of the past of Rappahannock County at the Rappahannock Historical Society building on Gay Street, next to the clinic, in Washington, Va.
