Mrs. Mattie Ball Fletcher of Washington has a sure-fire, never-fail recipe for getting rid of roaches. She found it years ago in the Washington Star and saved the clipping, now yellowed with age, in case she ever needed it.
Her 200-year-old home was invaded not to long ago by the nasty vermin after they’d hitched a ride from the grocery store in a brown paper bag. She dug out the Star’s solution for the roach problem and almost overnight, every last one of them disappeared. “You don’t see any roaches now!” she announced, volunteering to share her secret weapon with Rappahannock News readers.
