a certificate of appreciation from the American Heart Association, and each jumper raising $15 or more will be awarded a Jump Rope for Heart T-shirt. Each jumper who collects $50 - $99.99 in donations will be awarded a Jump Rope For Heart gym bag and Tshirt and every student who turns in $100-$199.99 in collected contributions will receive a windbreaker and Tshirt imprinted with the specially designed Jump Rope For Heart logo. Jumpers collecting $200 or more will be awarded a warm-up suit and T-shirt also imprinted with the Jump Rope For Heart logo. The team raising the most money will be awarded individual Jump Rope For Heart medallions.
The American Heart Association recognizes these young volunteers as a valuable aid to the Association’s fight to reduce premature death and disability due to heart disease and stroke, this country’s number one killers.
The Rappahannock County Elementary School welcomes all parents, friends and enthusiastic spectators to come cheer on these jumping volunteers when the ropes start turning on March 22.
Students will be collecting pledges from March 7 through March 14. Then they’ll be back to collect the money promised in the pledges March 23-April 4 and will turn in the donations they’ve collected on April 5 when they return to school after the spring break.
