Laurie Marshall of Slate Mills has been selected as the new executive director for the Rappahannock Association for the Arts and the Community. She was chosdn from among 40 some applicants for the part-time position which is being funded by the Virginia Commission for the Arts and RAAC.
As executive director, Marshall will coordinate all RAAC functions, plan programs, organize fund raisers, coordinate volunteers and manage publicity.
A graduate of Antioch College with a bachelor’s degree in history and education, Marshall has a master’s degree in community art. She has taught art at the
