A Winner
Corrine and Dirgham Saladi's Oasis Vineyard in Hume won top prizes at the Virginia Winery Association’s annual wine festival in Middleburg last weekend.
Their champagne was awarded a gold medal, the first champagne from Virginia to receive such an honor. The Sal ad is also brought home a silver medal for their 1981 cabernet sauvignon and a bronze medal for their riesling.
Fourteen wineries entered 67 wines in the competition which was judged by representatives from Philadelphia’s Ecole De Vin.
